The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas said Saturday that normalisation does not serve the interests of the Muslim world and is intended to legitimise the Israeli occupation.
In a press release, Hamas official Mustafa Abu Erra slammed Sudan for scrambling to normalise ties with the Israeli occupation.
Abu Erra explained that this deal only serves the interests of the Israeli occupation by entrenching its hegemony in the Arab region and legitimising its occupation to Palestine.
“We now count on the Arab peoples that don’t accept to live under regimes that betrayed the Palestinian cause,” Abu Erra continued.
Abu Erra hoped that the Arab public would remain committed to supporting Palestine, Jerusalem, and al-Aqsa Mosque and stay loyal to the Palestinian cause until the end of the Israeli occupation to Palestine.
US President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening that Sudan and the Israeli occupation have agreed to normalise relations, making it the third Arab nation to take such a move following Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in the past few months.
