With deep sadness, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the death of former lawmaker and head of the Palestine Committee in the Jordanian parliament Yahya al-Saoud, who died on Tuesday evening in a tragic car accident, praying to Allah to shower him with His mercy and make his abode in His spacious gardens and wishing a speedy recovery to his brother and two sons.

Hamas offers its deep condolences to Jordan’s King, government, parliament and people as well as the deceased MP’s family on al-Saoud’s death; may Allah give patience to his family and all beloved ones in the Hashemite Kingdom.
As we mourn al-Saoud’s death, we remember his honuorable positions in support of Palestine and his renowned roles in standing with the Palestinian people and backing their rights and legitimate struggle against the occupation, in addition to his participation in several flotillas bound for Gaza to break the Israeli siege on the coastal enclave and many activities held in support of Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque among other holy sites.
