Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh offered on Tuesday his condolences to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on the death of secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO)’s Executive Committee Saeb Erekat.

In a phone call, Haniyeh hailed the deceased for his national positions in support of Palestinian rights and the Palestinian cause.

Hamas chief also sent his condolences to Erekat’s family and beloved ones, praying to Allah to shower the deceased with His mercy and make his abode in His spacious gardens.
