The martyrdom of Palestinian detainee in Israeli jails Kamal Abu Waer is a new crime highlighting the deliberate medical negligence by the Israeli Prison Service, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said.

In a press statement, Qasem explained that the number of Palestinian martyrs who passed away in Israeli jails has hit 226.

“This means that the Israeli occupation perpetrates a calculated war crime against the detainees in Israeli jails,” Qasem added.

He also confirmed that the Israeli prison service violates the international laws deliberately when dealing with the Palestinian prisoners and adopts a ‘bullying policy’ towards them.

The spokesperson stressed that the Palestinian people and courageous resistance will remain loyal to the prisoners until they embrace their freedom.
