The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said on Sunday that the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip and intimidating civilians comes as part of “unabated Israeli aggression against our Palestinian people.”

“This ongoing Israeli terrorism against the Palestinian people is a foolish attempt to settle the conflict in favour of the occupier,” Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qasim said.

In a statement, Qasmi stressed that the Palestinian people would continue their struggle until regaining all of their rights to their homeland and holy sites.

Israeli occupation warplanes launched a series of aerial attacks across the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation army bombed five Palestinian resistance sites and observation posts in different areas of the besieged Gaza Strip. 

The attacks caused considerable damage to the targeted areas but no casualties were reported, the sources added.
