The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has denied reports of a meeting in Doha between the Movement and representatives of Fatah.

Hamas spokesman Husam Badran said in a press statement on Sunday that the reports, which were first published by the al-Quds journal, were incorrect.

He reiterated the Movement’s keenness to fully achieve Palestinian unity, confirming that in this regard Hamas continues to contact and meet with all Palestinian forces, including Fatah.

Badran stressed the importance of Palestinian consensus commensurate with the Palestinian sacrifices in the ongoing Jerusalem intifada.
