Hamas Spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following

The Israeli occupation’s insistence to hold Hamas responsible for what is going on in the Gaza Strip is intended to invent pretexts to continue its siege, bombing, and aggression and to evade responsibility for the suffering of two million Palestinians trapped in the coastal strip amid a catastrophic humanitarian crisis and the outbreak of the coronavirus. 

What determines the features of the coming phase is the behaviour and policies of the Israeli occupation, which is still acting aggressively and in not abiding by the measures to end its blockade, while banning the entry of medical supplies and equipment needed to fight off the coronavirus pandemic.

Thus, the Israeli occupation have to bear the responsibility for the repercussions of its ongoing siege, escalation, and aggression.
