The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas slammed an Egyptian actor for posing with an Israeli signer during an event in Dubai.

“The widespread and sweeping backlash on social media from the Egyptian and Arab public over a photo of Egyptian actor with an Israeli singer confirms that the whole [Arab] nation is backing the Palestine issue and our people’s rights,” Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qasim said.

On his Twitter account, Qasim pointed out that this outrage proved that the sides advocating for normalisation with the Israeli occupation “do not reflect the collective consciousness of the Arab world.”
