On 29 November each year, the world celebrates the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which coincides with the 1947 United Nations Resolution 181, known as the “Partition Plan”; this resolution has resulted in enormous injustice experienced by the Palestinian people by legalising the Zionist presence on our lands.

On this occasion, we state the following:

The international community, represented by the UN General Assembly, bears full responsibility for the suffering of the Palestinian people for more than 73 years due to this unfair resolution and the subsequent establishment of the Israeli occupation state on historic Palestine after committing massacres against the Palestinians and displacing millions of them.

We demand the international community, represented by the United Nations, turn its solidarity with our people into actions, especially after dozens of decisions taken in favour of our people condemning Israeli crimes and racist policies were left on the shelf in international forums.

We call on the international community to enhance justice and bring Israeli leaders to international courts for prosecution, strip the Israeli occupation of immunity, and sever the unlimited support provided to it, particularly by the United States, which has encouraged it to perpetrate heinous crimes, including killing, displacement, home demolitions, land grab, and confiscation of Palestinian resources, under the noses of the whole world with impunity.

We urge all nations around the world, especially Arabs, Muslims, and advocates for justice and freedom, to raise their voice and place pressure on decision-makers to spare no effort to end the colonial-settler occupation, the latest of its kind on earth.

We call on all Palestinian factions and segments to achieve intra-Palestinian unity and adopt a national joint action strategy, as it is the strongest way of facing off the Israeli occupation and accomplishing our people’s aspirations for freedom, independence, and return.

We emphasize our strategic position that our people enjoy the right to resist this horrendous occupation with all means possible, including military action; this right is guaranteed by all divine religions and by the International Law and was proved effective by historical experiences.

Finally, Hamas, alongside all Palestinians and the free people of the world, confirm that we believe in an inevitable end for this occupation, the establishment of our Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of millions of Palestinian refugees to their homes, from which they were forced out, so that we contribute, along with all peoples around the globe, to the security and well-being of all humanity.
