Thirty years ago, the Palestinian cause witnessed the inception of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, which has become a pillar of the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. Now, Hamas is at the forefront of the Palestinian resistance and pursuit for freedom and independence.

Coinciding with the Palestinian First Intifada, Hamas inception made the Uprising a comprehensive revolution—the movement was the backbone of the popular resistance during the First Intifada.

The ingratiation of Hamas movement has confirmed all the Palestinian constants and reshaped the relation with the Israeli occupation on the heels of attempts to make compromises and surrender.

In 1987l, Hamas communicated the message of the Palestinian people—the land of Palestine is occupied by the last colonial power in the world. The movement also reiterated that the Palestinian people are entitled to practice all forms of resistance against the Israeli occupation, until it’s kicked out of Palestine. Moreover, no compromises or concessions will be made at the expense of the Palestine rights, whatsoever. Hamas has reinforced these national principles with resistance, in cooperation with the other Palestinian factions. Throughout its life, Hamas has maintained the constants of the Palestinian cause and blocked all attempts to hinder its activities by different parties.

While marking its 33rd anniversary, Hamas also celebrates more organised and comprehensive resistance. Additionally, the movement has pushed for making the Palestinian cause to be a core issue for the Arab and Islamic Ummah, along with the free people of the world. Now, the Palestinian issue is on top of the free people of the world’s agenda, who recognise it as a just and noble cause.

All of these accomplishments are the fruit of the Palestinian people’s freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation, whose spearhead is the Hamas movement.

Throughout its history, Hamas has made great sacrifices, the most important one is the martyrdom of its founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Moreover, thousands of Hamas freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives for the sake of Palestine and the Palestinian cause.

After thirty-three years, Hamas is proud of the ongoing Palestinian revolution, through which the movement has surprised all the world by its creative resistance acts. Now, Al-Qassam is an icon of creative resistance and freedom struggle worldwide. The freedom fighters of Al-Qassam Brigades has dug the solid rocks, dove into the deep water, and flew over high sky to strengthen its power and resist the Israeli occupation with every means possible.

On Hamas 33 anniversary, Hamas extends its warmest regards to chief-of-staff and Supreme Military Commander of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades Mohammed Deif.

Since its inauguration, Hamas has put faith in the joint Palestinian national works and realised the importance of unifying all Palestinian factions in the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation—we believe that national unity is the pillar of the Palestinian freedom struggle against the occupation. The movement, furthermore, pushed for inclusive approach and paved the way for all the Palestinian factions to take part in the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. Hamas is proud of all joint resistance actions and will adhere to national partnership and promote reconciliation.

By upholding the national constants throughout its life, Hamas has become an example of the unbreakable will of people being colonised and fight for freedom.

On Hamas the 33rd anniversary, we would like to confirm the following points:

First: We hail all the Palestinian martyrs who passed away for the sake of Palestine and extend our regards to the Palestinian detainees kept in the Israeli jails.

Second: Hamas will remain loyal to the Palestinian people and Arab and Islamic Ummah. We will continue with freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation in cooperation with all the Palestinian factions.

Third: Hamas will uphold the Palestinian rights and constants and will block all attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause, above all the “Deal of Century”.

Fourth: Jerusalem is the enteral capital of Palestine and a major issue in the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. After liberation, the Holy City will declared as the capital of free, independent Palestine. We also demand the Palestinian factions develop a strategy to support the steadfastness of our people in Jerusalem.

Fifth: Hamas will work with all Palestinian factions to escalate the Palestinian endeavours against normalisation between some countries in the region and the Israeli occupation. We label normalisation as a stab in the back of the Palestinian people. On the other hand, we will support boycotting and delegitimising the Israeli occupation at all levels.

Six: We appreciate all positions by Palestinian factions, Arab countries, and the free people of the world in support of the Palestinian cause.

Seventh: The movement will continue to promote Palestinian unity and national partnership in all Palestinian political institutions. All segments of the Palestinian people must engage in a national, unified strategy to face off the Israeli occupation. This requires restructuring the Palestinian National Organisation (PLO) immediately to include all Palestinian factions. We believe that partnership are a must now.

Eighth: We call on the Palestinian factions to implement the outcomes of the Conference of the Palestinian Factions’ Secretaries-General and develop a national strategy for the time being, especially amid the Israeli implementation of illegal annexation plans. We should denounce 27-year-long path of negotiations that has brought the Palestinian people no achievements but provided a cover for the Israeli occupation to Juadise Jerusalem and go ahead with settlement, killing, blockade, and arrests. Therefore, Oslo agreement must be abandoned and popular resistance should be announced in the West Bank to face off the Israeli annexation plans.

Finally, we confirm that Hamas will go ahead with the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation until liberating Palestine from the river to the sea.
