Hamas movement warns against the rush for normalisation with Israeli occupation, which has serious consequences on history, identity and future of Arab and Islamic Ummah and its national security.

Hamas expresses its absolute rejection and strong condemnation to all normalisation agreements with the Israeli occupation, the last of which was between Morocco and the Israeli occupation.

We, along with the Palestinian people and the Arab world, followed up the trilateral declaration of normalisation deal by Morocco, the Israeli occupation and the US.

The Agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of Morocco and Head of Justice and Development Party Saadeddine Othmani and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security advisor, Meir Ben Shabbat.

Amid these dangerous conditions and alarming normalisation deals with the Israeli occupation at the expense of the rights of our people and the Palestinian cause, Hamas movement would like to stress the following points:

First: The signing of the joint declaration of normalisation deal with the Israeli occupation by Morocco’s Prime Minister and the Justice and Development Party’s support to this move are alarming changes that contradict the principles of the Party and their historic support to the Palestinian cause.

Second: Principles are indivisible. The political interests gained in the short run should not be at the expense of the Palestinian people. But we still confirm that there are many people in the Party who reject normalisation and will remain committed to the Palestinian cause.

Third: We believe pursuing political interests by some Arab or Islamic countries shall not be at the expense of the Palestinian cause. Such countries contradict themselves when voicing support for the Palestinian people while establishing ties with the Israeli occupation.

Fourth: We do realise the dangerous repercussions of this shameful declaration of normalising ties between the Israeli occupation and Morocco, keeping in mind that the latter heads the Jerusalem Committee whose major job is protecting Al-Aqsa from Israeli schemes and plots. We believe that normalisation with the Israeli occupation will pave the way for the Israeli occupation to judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.

Fifth: We call on the Justice and Development Party to reconsider this move and the normalisation agreement with the Israeli occupation. The Party shall not take part in the rush for normalisation with the Israeli occupation and the aggression against the Palestinian people.

Sixth: We hail the brotherly Moroccan people, including all the factions and organisations, which voiced their rejection to normalising ties with the Israeli occupation. We thank the Moroccan people for their honourable and historic support to the Palestinian cause.
