Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh sent warmest wishes to Christians on their New Year's holidays.

In press remarks, the Hamas chief said that the movement  hails the Christians whom he referred to as "partners in the homeland."

He added: "I lived with Christians while in Israeli prisons. There are Christian martyrs and detainees."

The Hamas leader stressed: "We are one nation, we offer them our warm wishes on their holy festivals and celebrations."
