Hamas Movement is saddened to hear about the passing away of South African human rights activist and theologian Dr Clint Le Bruyns.

Dr Le Bruyns was a dedicated activist for justice, and was involved in several socio-economic and political struggles across South Africa and the world – including the fight against Israeli occupation of Palestine.

In 2015, Dr Le Bruyns was part of the Freedom Flotilla attempting to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

For years, Dr Le Bruyns has consistently worked with the Christian community in Palestine to highlight Israeli discriminatory policies against Christians.

Together with South Africans, the Palestinian people mourn the loss of Dr Le Bruyns and wish his family and friends strength and patience to endure this loss.
