Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has continued the movement’s diplomatic and political endeavours to promote intra-Palestinian reconciliation. 

Haniyeh penned letters to the United Nations, Switzerland, Jordan, South Africa, and Iran to brief them on the efforts exerted by the movement to achieve unity and end the Palestinian rift. 

In the letters, Haniyeh highlighted that Hamas has agreed to hold the presidential, parliamentary, and National Council elections consecutively. 

The Hamas chief called on these countries to support the movement and the Palestinian factions’ endeavours to achieve unity.
