Commenting on the increasing spread of coronavirus among Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jaisl, Hamas Spokesman Hazem Qasem stated the following:

The dramatic surge of Covid-19 infections among Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons reiterates the intentional medical negligence practiced by the Israeli prison services and its failure to provide the basic tools for the protection from the coronavirus.

The deliberate policy of medical negligence adopted by the Israeli prison services is a war crime and a stark violation of all international conventions and humanitarian norms.

Added to these compounded crimes against Palestinian detainees the most heinously racist practice by the so-called Israeli internal security minister who has ordered not to inoculate Palestinian prisoners against coronavirus.
