Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh sent on Saturday letter of condolences to Speaker of Tunisian Parliament Rached Ghannouchi on the death of MP Meherzia Labidi.

“We, in Hamas Movement in Palestine, received with deep sorrow news of the death of the deceased sister Meherzia Labid,” Haniyeh said in the letter.

The Hamas chief offered his sincere condolences to members of the Tunisian parliament and Ennahda Movement, the decreased MP’s family and the Tunisian people.

“We remember with appreciation and gratitude her honuorable role and positions in defence of Palestine and its just cause and in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to liberate their homeland and holy sites in all forums and on all occasions,” Haniyeh added.

May Allah shower the deceased with His mercy and grant her family and beloved ones patience over her loss.
