Commenting on Qatari Emir's donation for Gaza, Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stated the following:

We have received with high evaluation the decision of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of the state of Qatar, for offering $360 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza in 2021.

This donation is an extension for the generous donations of the state of Qatar aimed to ease the siege imposed on Gaza, and a retention of its support for the Palestinians in general. It also proves the depth of relations between the Palestinian and Qatari peoples.

We express out thanks to His Highness for this brotherly donation, as well as for the pioneering stances towards the Palestinian people wherever they existed inside Palestine and abroad. This support aims to improve life conditions of the Palestinians and helps them to achieve their national goals.
