A senior Hamas delegation has met with the Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov.

Headed by senior Hamas official Musa Abu Marzouq, the delegation included Hamas representative in Moscow and Hamas official Zaher Jababrin.

The Hamas delegation briefed its Russian counterpart on the latest political developments concerning the Palestinian issue, especially the Palestinian legislative, presidential, and National Council elections.

The Hamas officials also highlighted the movement’s endeavours to push for the success of the general elections.

In turn, Bogdanov welcomed the visit and confirmed the Russian unwavering position towards the Palestinian issue.

He also stressed that Russia is keen on achieving the Palestinian national unity and highlighted the Russian government’s preparedness to exert all efforts possible to heal the division.
