A senior Hamas delegation has met with its Palestinian Islamic Jihad counterpart, headed by the group’s secretary general Ziad al-Nakhalah.

The high-level delegation included head of Hamas International Relations Office Mousa Abu Marzouq and Hamas representative in Moscow and politburo member Zaher Jabbarin.

During the meeting, political developments on the Palestinian arena were discussed, in addition to the matters due to be addressed in the Cairo talks.

Both delegations reiterated the necessity to continue efforts to restore the Palestinian national unity on the basis of partnership and resistance option and to reinforce the Palestinian home front in the face of conspiracies aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.
