A high-level delegation from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad visited on Saturday Iranian embassy in Moscow.
Led by head of Hamas International Relations Office Mousa Abu Marzouq, the Hamas delegation included Hamas representative in Moscow and politburo member Zaher Jabbarin.
The Islamic Jihad delegation, which was headed by the group’s secretary general Ziad al-Nakhalah, comprised of the senior officials Mohammed al-Hindi, Abu al-Said al-Minawi, and Anwar Abu Taha.
The Palestinian delegation was received by Iranian ambassador in Moscow Kazem Jalali and deputy chief of the Iranian mission in Russia Hussein Maleki, along with a number of advisors.
The joint delegation briefed Jalali on the latest political updates and developments on the Palestinian arena, particularly the general elections and the movements’ vision to heal the intra-Palestinian division, in addition to Israeli violations and the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Jalali reaffirmed his country’s constant position towards the Palestinian cause and its continuous support for the Palestinian resistance with all means possible.
The delegation, in return, expressed appreciation for the Iranian stances in support of the Palestinian cause, and stressed that the Palestinian people will continue their freedom struggle until the fulfil their aspirations for liberation and freedom.
