Hamas congratulates Libyans on election of interim executive authority

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas offered its congratulations to Libyan people on the election of interim executive authority, which will govern the country until the end of this year.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas offered its congratulations to Libyan people on the election of interim executive authority, which will govern the country until the end of this year.

“We congratulate the Libyan people on the success of the interim elections and hope that this process be a crucial step on the path of achieving unity and stability in Libya,” Hamas official Sami Abu-Zuhri wrote on Twitter.

“We also congratulate the head of the Presidency Council Mohammad al-Manfi and Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh and wish them success,” Abu-Zuhri added.

On Friday, the UN-sponsored Libyan Political Dialogue Forum elected Abdul Hamid Dbeibah as prime minister and Mohammad al-Manfi as presidency council head, in addition to Musa al-Koni and Abdullah al-Lafi as council members.

The winning list will govern the North African nation holding presidential and parliamentary elections due to be held on 24 December 2021.
