The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the death of one of Hamas founders and prominent Palestinian figure Sheikh Ibraheem al-Yazouri who passed away on Thursday, 11 February 2021, in Gaza City.

Palestine lost an example of heroism and sacrifice. He had an honourable history of national positions and commitment to the Palestinian cause.

While bidding farewell to this Palestinian icon, we recall his good deeds and landmark participation in the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. He had maintained the Palestinian constants and values throughout his life.

We extend our condolences to his family and the Palestinian people over this enormous loss. We also pray to Allah to accept his deeds and place him in Paradise. May he rest in peace now.
