Hamas Spokesperson Hazem Qasim stated the following:

Hamas vehemently condemns the announcement by the foreign ministry of Kosovo about opening an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.

This move is a blatant violation of all international resolutions and humanitarian treaties and reflects an appalling bias towards the Israeli occupation.

We believe that this prompted by the wave of normalisation between some Arab parties and the Israeli occupation.

Jerusalem will remain a Palestinian city and its identity will remain Arab, and all such Israeli attempts will not change history.
