Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh sent Monday a letter of condolences to Jordan's King Abdullah II on the victims of oxygen shortage at Al-Salt government hospital.

“We, in Hamas, receive with great sorrow and pain the news of the tragic incident that took place at Al-Salt government hospital and led to the death of Jordanian citizens,” Haniyeh said in the letter.

Haniyeh expressed his movement’s solidarity with the Jordanian people and the victims’ families.

“May Allah shower them with His mercy, make their abode in His spacious gardens, and grant their families patience over their loss,” Haniyeh added.

The Hamas chief wished the Hashemite Kingdom a future of prosperity, security, and advancement.
