Member of Hamas's political bureau Khalil al-Hayya stated that the resistance continues to engage in the battle of preparation to defend the Palestinian people.

Al-Hayya’s remarks came in a memorial ceremony held for two martyrs from al-Qassam Brigades who died a few days ago in a resistance tunnel accident.

"We are making preparations in order to defend our land and people along the path of liberation," he said.

He opined that incitement campaigns have failed in lobbying people against the resistance, noting that the gathering of tens of thousands in funerals of al-Qassam fighters last week represented a popular national referendum, where people renewed their support of the resistance.

"The long years of blockade and wars have only made us stronger,” he underlined, adding that media campaigns against the resistance served only to increase people’s admiration and commitment.
