Hamas condemns the arrest campaign carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Hamas officials and ex-detainees, including Jamal al-Tawil and Bajis Nakhleh.
Commenting on an arrest campaign conducted by Israeli occupation forces against Hamas officials and Palestinian citizens in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Hamas stated the following:
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemns the arrest campaign carried out by Israeli occupation forces against Hamas officials and ex-detainees, including Jamal al-Tawil and Bajis Nakhleh.
We confirm that the detention campaigns launched by the Israeli occupation army against Hamas officials and supporters will not hinder our determination to run for Palestinian elections. Rather, they will reinforce out resilience to go ahead with rearranging the Palestinian House on democratic basis.
We call on all friend states and peoples supportive of Palestinian rights and the Palestinian cause to take a action against the arrogance of the Israeli occupation, which desecrates the Palestinians’ political rights; the Palestinian people have a right to freely exercise their political rights guaranteed by all international laws and humanitarian conventions.
We call for punishing the Israeli occupation and expelling it from all international and UN bodies. The Israeli occupation is once again exposing its appalling face by violating norms of freedom and democracy and dominating another people through military force and the imbalance of international rules.
