Vice chairman of Hamas political bureau Mousa Abu Marzook stated that Israel is the only party that benefits from closing Rafah border crossing.

In a press release on Sunday, Abu Marzook noted the immense suffering of the Gaza population as a result of keeping Rafah borders shut, stressing that sabotaging the security of Sinai and imposing siege on Gaza is solely an Israeli interest.

“Keeping Sinai uninhabited and Gaza under siege only plays in the occupation’s favor,” he underlined, adding that Israel should not be granted a chance to fulfill its agendas.
