Election brings Jerusalem issue back on top of Palestinian, international agenda

Palestinian election brought again the issue of the Palestinian holy city of Jerusalem on top of the Palestinian and international agenda.

Continuing the election and achieving the required results by renewing the legitimacy of Palestinian institutions and rearranging Palestinian home is a national priority that must not be conceded, or allowing the occupation to disrupt it by obstructing election in Jerusalem.

The struggle to hold Palestinian election have brought the issue of Jerusalem to the forefront and put it back on top of the national and international agenda.

The Palestinian people will go ahead with the election and turn, at the same time, the Palestinian vote in Jerusalem into a political battle to confirm the identity of the holy city, which will remain Arab and Islamic, and the capital of Palestine.

The train of the election will not go backwards as we will not accept the Palestinian political and national situation to return into a state of deadlock once again by waiting for an approval from the Israeli occupation. Our struggle with the Israeli occupation requires that we defy it and expose its practices in front of the whole world.
