Once again, Palestinian Jerusalemites confirm their ability to face off the Israeli occupation and its plans and false sovereignty over the holy city and preserve Al Aqsa Mosque and the city’s Palestinian and Arab identity.

Last but not least, they managed to force the Israeli occupation to remove all metal barriers from the Bab al Amoud area after 13 days of popular protests.

In light of this, we, in the “Al-Quds is Our Destiny” list, state the following:

First: Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem have proved that they are stronger than the executioner and the occupation and have scored a new victory over them.

Second: The Israeli occupation’s caving-in to the demands of Palestinian protesters in Jerusalem is a clear proof of how effective the option of resistance with all forms is. 

Third: Jerusalem’s Palestinian residents have proven that they are guardians of Al-Aqsa Mosque, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ascend to heaven on the Isra and Mi'raj night journey.

Fourth: The Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem communicated a clear message to the Israeli occupation that they will defend Al-Aqsa Mosque at any cost.

Sixth: What happened in Jerusalem undoubtedly indicates that we can force the Israeli occupation to accept holding Palestinian election in Jerusalem.   

Seventh: We call on all Palestinians to use the Palestinian Jerusalemites’ victory as a basis to affirm the necessity to hold the Palestinian vote as per a Palestinian national decision and turn the election day into a confrontation with the Israeli occupation.
