Haniyeh warns Netanyahu: Do not play with fire!

Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh said that the movement has taken decisive decision not to allow Israeli occupation to judaize Sheikh Jarrah Neighbourhood, as well as to resist settler’s attempts to break into Al Aqsa Mosque on 28 Ramadan.

In an interview with Al-Aqsa TV Channel, Haniyeh confirmed that all Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims are held responsible for the serious developments in Jerusalem.

“Amid these horrible conditions, no [Arab or Islamic] country is allowed to establish ties with the Israeli occupation,” Haniyeh stressed.

The top Hamas official said that Jerusalem had “torn apart” the deal of century, in spite of the Israeli brutality.

He noted that the Israeli occupation attempts to evacuate Al Aqsa Mosque from Palestinian worshippers, but we will defend the Mosque at any price, stressing that the occupation does not realise the serious ramifications of its measures in the Holy Compound. 

In a bid to mobilise support for Jerusalem, Haniyeh declared that he had contacted many politicians and senior official in the region, warning them against the ongoing situation in Jerusalem.

The Hamas official described the situation in Jerusalem as an “intifada that shall be continued”, noting that the Palestinian masses’ shouting and chanting for the resistance is a clue on their awareness of the serious situation of Jerusalem.

Haniyeh noted that any Israeli scheme in Jerusalem is doomed to failure, as Palestinian will heroically defend the Holy Compound.

Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Haniyeh said: “Do not play with fire! This is a battle that you won’t win. The Israeli pride and tyranny will be ruined on the rock of Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He also hailed the Palestinian people in Jerusalem who fight off the Israeli occupation on behalf of the Ummah.
