Head of Hamas Abroad Khaled Meshaal called on the Palestinian people in West Bank to resist Israeli plans to storm Al Aqsa Mosque; he also called on Palestinian resistance in Gaza to be ready.
In a statement, Meshaal said that Israeli settlers’ attempt to desecrate Al Aqsa is a very serious issue, noting that the Palestinian people in Jerusalem have been heroically defending the Holy Compound.
“They are engaged in national battle [against the Israeli occupation], and no one is allowed to abandon his responsibilities,” Meshaal said.
He noted that he has contacted many international organisations to express the movement’s rejection of the Israeli violations in Jerusalem.
Commenting on normalisation with the Israeli occupation, the senior Hamas official said that the normalizers’ influence is very marginal, compared to the Ummah’s support for Palestine.
Meshaal explained that the Israeli occupation has mistakenly thought that the Palestinian people will not be able to react, but they have done.
The Hamas official also called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to fulfil his responsibilities and rush to heal the Palestinian division, noting that the top priority now is “Jerusalem” not the “elections.”
He called on the Palestinian people to protest the Israeli plans to break into Al-Aqsa Mosque across Palestine.
