The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas called Monday on all Palestinian citizens of the West Bank and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to march towards Al Aqsa Mosque and support their fellow Palestinians.

In a press statement, Hamas official Nadir Sawafteh urged all Palestinians to stand up for Jerusalem and the Al Aqsa Mosque.

“There should be a serious reaction that is up to the massacre being committed against the worshippers in the Al Aqsa Mosque compound,” Swafteh said.

Sawafteh called for all Palestinians to head towards the flashpoints and face off the Israeli occupation so that “it would know that we will not remain silent on its brutality and continuous aggression against Al Aqsa Mosque.”   

The Hamas official denounced the fierce attacks by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian worshippers at the al-Aqsa Mosque as not only as “declaration of war against the Palestinians but a bloody war on the whole Ummah.”

The Palestinian people and the free people around the world will not allow the Israeli occupation to pass its plans aimed to take control over Al Aqsa Mosque and divide it timely and spatially, Sawafteh stressed.

Israeli occupation forces have been attacking Palestinian worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque compound since this morning, injuring hundreds of them.
