We vehemently condemn German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas’s statements, which are biased towards the Israeli occupation.

This position is imbalanced as it gives the Israeli occupation a justification to continue its crimes, as well as it ignores the guaranteed right of the Palestinians to resist the occupation as per international law.

We would like to inform Maas that the current escalation broke out after the Israeli occupation tried brutally expel Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in Jerusalem and atrociously attacked Palestinian worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

We call on the German Foreign Ministry to review its stances, side with international law, denounce the Israeli crimes and hold the Israeli occupation accountability for such crimes which have been perpetrated for decades.
