Hamas chief abroad Khalid Meshaal said on Friday that his movement prefers the aid to rebuild Gaza be sent directly from donor countries.

In a televised interview, Meshaal added that needs a great deal of support as the Israeli occupation has launched four offensives against it.

Meshaal called for supporting Gaza and Jerusalem in any way possible, acting on a regional and international level to put an end to the bias towards the Israeli occupation, and set up a work plan to liberate Palestine.

“The “Sword of Al Quds” battle is an important milestone on the path of liberation and represented a turning point in the Palestinian history,” Meshaal stressed.

The Palestinian people, Meshaal continued, have stood steadfast despite the intense suffering inflicted on them by the Israeli occupation.

Meshaal explained that the ceasefire reached between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation was mutual and simultaneous.

The senior Hamas official reiterated his rejection to normalisation with the Israeli occupation.

Thanking Algeria for its positions in support for the Palestinian people, Meshaal hoped that the North African country would provide financial and relief aid for the Palestinians and use its relations to serve Palestine.

Meshaal hoped that the Algerian leadership would receive the Hamas leadership in its country.

He thanked every party that provides support for the Palestinian people, adding: “We thank those who support us but we don’t allow anyone to interfere in our decision-making.”

Hamas is working on unifying the political decision-making process, Meshaal concluded.
