Hamas has affirmed its support for the right of all peoples to freedom and self-determination as an inalienable fundamental right.

Hamas spokesman Husam Badran stated on Wednesday that the Movement's external ties with countries and political parties are based on supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's right to resist the occupation.

Badran stressed that Hamas's external relations with others are unambiguous, and its compass constantly points toward Jerusalem.

"The Movement's position on what is happening in Syria and other Arab countries is unwavering and based on the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states," he underlined.
