Member of Hamas Political Bureau Husam Badran stated the following:

We, in Hamas, stress that the “Sword of Al-Quds” battle, which took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 and reached its peak in an all-out round of fighting between all Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza and the Israeli occupation army.

In light of this historic and significant stage of the Palestinian history, we state the following: 

This battle is a reflection of national unity and joint Palestinian action to defend the Palestinian rights, holy sites, and land, and face off the Israeli aggression against our Palestinian people everywhere.

We should boost national unity that all the Palestinians count on in the face of the Israeli occupation and call on every one to maintain this magnificent accomplishment to fight off the Israeli occupation.

It also requires us to respect the Palestinian national and religious figures.
