The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas stated the following:

The detention campaigns launched by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, Jerusalem, and the West Bank will not undermine the uprising of the Palestinian people, who will continue defending their right to their land and face off Israeli displacement plans in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.

We stress that we, as Palestinians between the sea and the river, are facing the settler-colonial policy and racist mentality of the Israeli occupation government, which expels the indigenous Palestinian population from their homes and takes over them at gunpoint or at the pretext of the Israeli Absentee Property Law allowing the so-called Jewish National Fund to take over Palestinian houses after expelling their Palestinian residents.

Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 are protesting against a Judaisation policy practiced by the Israeli occupation government against Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque and Israeli displacement and Judaisation plans to take over the Palestinian, Arab neighbourhoods and towns.

We hail Palestinian citizens of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza for fighting off this racist, settler-colonial project, which is based on the narrative of: “A land without a people for a people without a land.” The whole world todays see that the indigenous owners of this land are defending it and preserving its identity. 

We call on all friendly states and nations supportive of Palestinian rights to continue their efforts in support of the Palestinian cause, which is the world’s oldest liberation cause. It is time for the Palestinian people to restore all of their rights in a fully sovereign and independent homeland.
