Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh received Monday a phone call from Tunisia’s former president Moncef Marzouki.

During the phone call, Marzouki offered his congratulations on the victory scored by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

Hailing it as a “victory for the Arab and Muslim Ummah,” Marzouki saluted Palestinian citizens of the besieged Gaza Strip for standing steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation.

Haniyeh, in return, expressed his appreciation for this call, praising the former president for his constant stances in support of Palestine and its people.

The chief of Hamas Political Bureau voiced his deep gratitude for the Tunisian leadership and people for rising up for Jerusalem and Gaza and playing a political role at the Arab and international levels during the Israeli offensive on Gaza.
