On Qatar’s donation by $500 for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip following the Israeli offensive, Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stated the following:

We received the dignified position by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who pledged $500m to help reconstruct the Gaza Strip.

This stance by His Highness reflects Qatar’s generosity, the nobility of its leadership and its constant support for the Palestinian people in various stages.

We express our deep gratitude and appreciation over this grant and the years-long support for the Palestinian people, especially during the years of the siege.
