Following victory of the Palestinian resistance over the Israeli occupation in relation to its aggression on Gaza, Hamas states the following:

We offer our congratulations to our Ummah, the Palestinian people, and Jerusalemites on the victory achieved by the Palestinian resistance in “Sword of Jerusalem” battle. All stood up for Jerusalem and in response to the appeals of the Jerusalemites.

The Palestinian resistance, including Al Qassam Brigades, in Gaza responded to the appeals of the free men and women in Jerusalem, who urged all Palestinians and Muslims to stand up for Jerusalem.

Today, we hail the steadfastness and unity of the people of Jerusalem in the face of the Israeli occupation, despite the Israeli killings and arrests. We vow that the resistance shall continue to support you at any cost.

Hamas also praises that steadfastness of the people of Gaza who backed that resistance during the latest Israeli offensive. The Palestinian women, men, and children declared to the world that they are ready to make enormous sacrifices for the sake of the holy city of Jerusalem.

We also send regards to the Palestinians in the West Bank who took to streets and resisted the Israeli occupation’s plans to impose its sovereignty on Jerusalem.

Hamas also expressed its thanks and gratitude to the Palestinians in 1948 occupied territories who has active role in the latest confrontations with the Israeli occupation.

The Palestinians are also indebted to Arabs, Muslims, and the free people of the world who mobilised support and showed solidarity with the Palestinians being subjected to the Israeli bombardment and facing heinous crimes. 

Following the latest Israeli offensive, we would like to stress the following:

1-The Movement calls for more unity and cooperation by all the Palestinian people and families. We must denounce any Israeli attempts to trigger new rifts among the Palestinians who works day and night to fuel the Palestinian division. UNITY MUST BE PLACED FIRST.

2-We admit that the Palestinian have sustained serious wounds: killings, detentions, and causalities.  Hamas urges all parties to show solidarity with all Palestinians sustaining wounds.

3-The Israeli plans to take control of Jerusalem are still in place. Therefore, the movement urges the Palestinian to continue supporting Jerusalem and defending the holy compound.

5-We have to pay special attention to and guard Jerusalem’s neighbourhood that the Israeli occupation’s plans to evict which are: Sheik Jarrah, Batn al-Hawa, Aein al-Lousa, Wadi al-Rabab, Wadi al-Hilwa, and Al-Bustan.

And to the resilient people of Jerusalem, we say:

The Ummah puts its faith in you. You should stay steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation and defend Jerusalem and the Muslim holy places. Be assured, Allah’s victory is definite and imminent, and you will be rewarded by Allah.
