On the UNHRC's decision to probe Israeli violations against Palestinians, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement stated the following:

Hamas movement welcomes the UN Human Rights Council to launch an open-ended investigation into the Israeli violations committed during the recent offensive on Gaza and into the “systematic abuses in the occupied Palestinian territories.”

Passing this motion with a vast majority highlights the Israeli occupation’s failure to deceive the world by its false claims and untrue narrative. It also shows that many of the world’s countries decline to keep political immunity that has prevented the Israeli occupation from being sued for decades.

Israeli leaders must be held accountable for their repeated crimes and violations at international courts. We believe that justice is an integral part of peace and stability in the region.

We hope that such a mission will succeed to achieve its goals and not be hindered by Israel occupation’s allies, as what happened in many previous investigations.

Hamas also looks forward to the concluding remarks of the investigation missions, hoping that they will put an end to the Israeli brutality and illegal occupation.
