On the potential political changes within Israeli occupation, Hamas Spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:

We do not bet on any changes within the Israeli occupation as they are all an outcome of a settler-colonial project aimed to perpetuate the Israeli occupation at the expense of Palestinian rights.

The identity of any Israeli occupation government will not change the nature of the struggle with this occupier that will be considered as a settler-colonial entity that must be resisted and will not affect the course of the Palestinian fight to end the occupation.

  We count on the will of our Palestinian people and the justice of their cause and their continuous and growing resistance as a legitimate right to defend the Palestinian rights and face off the Israeli occupation and its schemes.
