In a phone call, the Hamas chief thanked Kamel for his visit to the beleaguered Gaza Strip, stressing that this trip is part of Egypt’s support to Palestine.

The top Hamas official also appreciated the Egyptian efforts that led to the unconditional ceasefire during the latest Israeli offensive against Gaza.

He also stressed that Palestine and Egypt have rock-solid relations, looking forward to more cooperation with Egypt at all levels.
