Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, along with a high-level Hamas delegation, received a number of scholars and imams in Mauritania. 

The scholars voiced their full support for the Palestinian people and their national cause. 
“Palestine represents a basis of consensus for the Mauritanian people that no one disputes,” they emphasized. 
    
They offered their congratulations on the victory scored by the Palestinian resistance during the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Haniyeh, in return, expressed his appreciation to the scholars’ stances on Palestinian rights and their efforts in support of Palestine.   

The Hamas chief reiterated his movement’s commitment to the Palestinian position, rights, and option of resistance until Palestinian refugees return to their homeland. 

“The Palestinian cause is the issue of the whole ummah,” Haniyeh stressed. 
He continued: “Hamas has raised a generation qualified to face off the challenges with force.”
