Among his visits to the three Lebanese presidents, the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a high-level Hamas delegation, visited this afternoon, Monday, June 28, 2021, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Mr. Nabih Berri in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

His excellency welcomed the visit of the Hamas delegation, expressing his pride in the national victory achieved by the Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip saying: "I congratulate you on this victory as I congratulate all of Palestine on the great national steadfastness," calling for strengthening the Palestinian position and unifying Palestinian efforts.

In turn, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau valued the positions of President Nabih Berri and the Lebanese state that supports the Palestinian right, praising his state's efforts to bring the views of the Palestinian factions closer.

Haniyeh reviewed the results of "Sword Al-Quds" Battle on the Palestinian cause and its repercussions and said: “One of the most important results is the affirmation that Jerusalem is the center of the conflict and the compass of the nation, which constitutes an element of consensus among our people and our nation, as well as the project and program of the resistance which the Palestinian people support in their practice on the ground.

In the same context, the Palestinian leader stressed that the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and Palestine will continue to prepare for the comprehensive liberation battle, God willing, stressing the resistance's ability to achieve field victories that confuse the Israeli occupation and restore the Palestinian rights.

Haniyeh stressed the need to continue the Palestinian national reconciliation with the support of allies and friends to achieve national unity and end the division, expressing his welcome to any new role for the state of President Berri and the Lebanese state in this context.

With regard to the issue of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Haniyeh called on the Lebanese state to ratify the civil and human rights of the Palestinian people with the aim of empowering them and achieving a dignified life until their return and liberation.
