Hamas movement expresses its appreciation and gratitude to the country of a million martyrs, Algeria, for its absolute and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, especially for mobilizing efforts to kick the Israeli occupation out of the African Union Commission. 

These endeavors are representative of the Arab and Islamic peoples’ popular consensus against the Israeli occupation, in line with Algeria’s unwavering positions in support of the Palestinian cause. 

Moreover, Hamas hails Algeria’s stance because it highlights the country’s awareness of the enormous security, political, social, and cultural repercussions of granting the Israeli occupation an observer status at the AU Commission on African countries. 

The movement also calls on African, Arab, and Islamic countries to assume their responsibility towards the Palestinian cause by taking similar steps against normalizing ties with the Israeli occupation, in line with all African peoples’ consensus against normalization.

Additionally, these states should mobilize more efforts to isolate the Israeli occupation in the political arena, hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes against humanity, and advocate for the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, independence, and return to their hometowns and villages from which they were forcibly displaced by Zionist gangs in 1948.
