On the visit by a US delegation to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, member of Hamas’ International Relations Office Basem Naim stated the following: 
We denounce in the strongest terms today’s entry of a US delegation into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the tour they carried out in its courtyards under protection from the Israeli occupation police. 

This unacceptable behavior stresses anew that the complete bias of US policy towards the Israeli narrative is a primary reason behind the continuation of this occupation and aggression against our Palestinian people and their holy sites. 

Under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, the visit constitutes a blatant violation of international law and resolutions. 
The repetition of such visits tempts the Israeli occupation to commit further foolish acts, heightens tensions, and adds fuel to the already raging fire, particularly in Jerusalem.  

The US administration shall bear the responsibility for the grave repercussions of this move.
