Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" Ismail Haniyeh offered his condolences to the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, on the death of Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in the Republic of Lebanon.
Haniyeh expressed his condolences and sincerest sympathy to Berri, the Qabalan family, the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council, and the Lebanese people.
Haniyeh recalled Sheikh Qabalan's role in consolidating unity and coexistence in Lebanon, promoting Islamic unity, bringing sects together in the Arab and Islamic world, and his honorable stances in solidarity with the just cause of Palestine, supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance, and opposing colonial settlement and normalization projects with the Zionist enemy.
