On the Iraqi position against normalization, the spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" Fawzi Barhoum stated the following:

The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" highly appreciates the noble stances of the political and societal forces and the dignitaries of the Iraqi clans that reject normalization with the Zionist occupier state and support the Palestinian issue.

Hamas also salute the Iraqi's presidency, government, and judiciary for their position in rejecting normalization with the Zionist enemy and supporting the Palestinian struggle against the occupation.

Hamas affirms its rejection and condemnation of all forms of normalization with the Israeli occupation for its serious repercussions on the Palestinian people and the entire region.

Hamas calls upon the Arab and Islamic nations to be united in facing the normalizers, and to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
