On the assassination of the Syrian Medhat Al-Saleh, Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" issued the following statement:

We mourn the Syrian freed prisoner, Medhat Al-Saleh, who was killed by the treacherous Zionist enemy while returning to his home in the Ain Al-Tineh site opposite the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights.

Martyr Medhat Al-Saleh, who spent twelve years in the occupation jails, has resisted the occupation and rejected the annexation of the Golan Heights by the Zionist occupation stressing the unity of the Syrian people and land.

The crime of assassinating the freed prisoner, the martyr Medhat Al-Saleh, demonstrates the bloody Zionist mentality based on murder and terrorism.

This heinous crime will not stop the resistance and steadfastness of our people in the occupied Golan who reject the Zionist projects.
